Application & Software Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

·         The role of A&S Engineer is to provide 1st line Maintenance related equipment on all issues. He is to act as Maintenance engineer and problem solver if any problem occurs.
·         To help TAC and Switch to prepare and implement SW and HW configuration data changes for network resource. He is required to provide all relevant information about the current network status to the concerned department.
·         To take responsibility of conduct all the planned work
·         To take responsibility of providing 1st line support and as the Field operations.
·         To give support to all departments during planned works.
·         To help in roots cause analysis of all the events in the network.
·         To analyze through feedback from the concerned staff about the possible causes of the outage and then provide reasons for service affecting to the shift leader so that the daily outage report reflects proper network status.
·         To follow the escalation routines timelines and procedures when the service problem cannot be resolved. He is to escalate to TAC if the service problem is beyond his technical scope.
·         To ensure that all the planned activities in the network are performed after proper Change request approval. If it doesn’t happen, he is to ensure that all service affecting activities without CR approval are included in the outage report.

Main Requirements:

Degree within Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in NSS Network ( SMSC, IN, USAU) for Operation & Maintenance   implementation / integration / operation / Trouble shooting / support or testing environment.
* Good knowledge of the network resource topology and capabilities for Core, Access, Radio and Service networks especially SMSC, IN, USAU etc.
*  Good knowledge of network availability alarm / status indicators and their interpretation and use.
* Adequate support system knowledge and shall be able to use required applications after proper set-up, with use of documentation without further assistance.
* Basic knowledge of network implementation / integration processes.
* Good knowledge in written and spoken English.
